Apatite U-Pb Dating and Composition Constraints for Magmatic–Hydrothermal Evolution in the Giant Renli Nb-Ta Deposit, South China

Apatite is a nearly ubiquitous accessory phase in igneous rocks that crystallizes during the entire magma evolution process and has great implications for geochronology petrogenesis. Previous studies suggested Nb-Ta mineralization giant Renli deposit was genetically related to Late Jurassic two-mica monzogranite or Early Cretaceous muscovite monzogranite. Moreover, magmatic–hydrothermal of these two stages poorly understood. In our study, we confirm monzogranite, biotite are all spatially associated with pegmatites. We present new apatite U-Pb ages constrain timing magmatism. The results show from pegmatite yield lower intercept age 130 ± 2 Ma (2?), grains samples 135 8 (2?) 134 3 respectively. whole-rock geochemistry suggest oxidation degree increases north (RL-6) south (RL-16) deposit. This study demonstrates combination composition can be used granite pegmatite-type deposits.
